Tylenol might been a good idea or Ibuprofen since we can take that now. Ibuprofen is good for reducing swelling as well as a pain reliever. I take 3-4 in the morning and am good all day. Tylenol is good at pain relieving too but it makes me queasy thinking of taking it lol

Sorry didnt realize half of my post poofed lol. Ive had stitches before and god did they BURN. The itching is normal for healing as is the burning especially when youre trying to go to the rr. I found that witchhazel pads worked great for both itching and burning. They need to be changed every time you use the rr though.

The burning will likely last for 1-3 wks depending on how fast you heal. But to be on the safe side if youre still feeling the burn and youre using the witchhazel pads and its been 2wks Id call the Dr.

Never needed stitches but it is normal for when something is healing to itch. Id call and ask your Dr about the burning though.
