Gestational Diabetes.

I was diagnosed with the pregnant diabetes, and was wondering what you already mommies could tell me about it if you experienced it, and what you did to keep yourselves regular..
Very nervous for my baby and still a month and a half to go.

I was diagnosed at 30wks I am now 32 and I also check my blood 4times a day. After I met with a nurtionist I had a good idea what can raise my sugar. I still struggle a little but I've only been on this diet for 2weeks. So hopefully I can control it. I also lost some weight on my new diet but I know I'm eating enough for baby, just healthier :)

I got diagnosed as well. Have to test my blood 4 times a day, monitor my diet by spreading my carbs throughout the day, and am on glyberide to help regulate my sugars. I am finally regulated after 6 weeks with diet and med adjustments. My little guy is not measuring so little. Last week (at 33 weeks) he was measuring at about 6 lbs. My doctors are thinking I will be induced a week or two early because of his size, but full term is considered 37 weeks+. So far he is looking great, but it is important to keep up with maintaining regular blood sugar to regulate growth.

Im a ftm and did the test at 28wks. My levels were slightly elevated so now I have to monitor my blood glucose twice a day until giving birth end of May. Im on the diet control option (just excluding/minimising sugary foods and eating less carbs like bread, rice etc and also spreading these food throughout the day in smaller quantities). So far so good, Im not sure the outcome but just as long as baby isn't a giant at birth, I think we will be ok.
