Tips for if you get sick while brushing teeth

I kept throwing up while brushing my teeth, until I found a few things that helpe. Sharing in case it helps you too :) first, I realized that I actually don't have to use as much toothpaste as I typically do, and using less cuts down on the foam which is a trigger for me. Second, staying upright as much as possible ( I usually leaned over the sink). And third, smile as hard as you can! I don't know why but grinning seems  convince my brain that I don't need to puke. Finally, if you get that rush of saliva and you know nothing will stop you from puking, swish it around your teeth to help protect them from the stomach acid, and after throwing up don't re - brush your teeth as it can really damage your teeth in the newly acidic environment. Instead, just rinse a lot and brush an hour later.

This happens to me as well, I've found that eating before completely eases it!

This happened to me my entire first trimester. I found eating first helped sometimes but I think it was the mint that caused it. It doesn't happen as much not that I'm in the second trimester.
