I'm exactly 39 weeks today. Lost my mucus plug at about 10 this morning. Been having bad back pains ever since, also poo like cramps. I'm a FTM and unsure about how real contractions feel as silly as that may sound. But I am definitely in pain, can barely get out of bed now. What's going on??

I just want to say congratulations on your baby and Also this post helped me a lot. I have had no idea what the difference in cramps and contractions is and you ladies have confirmed for me that I'm having contractions! So glad to finally find people that can explain what it feels like. Everytime I ask I just get told you will know.

I'm a ftm as well and i was in the same situation wondering what real labor pains feel like and would I know. I had my little one on may 20. And that strong urge to poop is exactly what my contractions felt like. My contractions started around midnight but didn't get noticeably stronger until around 430am.

Contractions feel like a cramp but it last for like 40-60 seconds. And your tummy tightens up. Time when it starts till it ends . I downloaded an app
