Question about genetics?

So I'm due May 3 with a boy. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure how baby getting certain genes works. For skin tone, the father is more tan while I'm pretty pastey. Which gene is more likely to be dominant? It's doesn't matter to me I'm just curious and confused!

My husband is white and I'm Puerto Rican I'm tan with dark hair and my 1st son came out white with light brown hair like his daddy! :) 2nd son we'll see in May! :)

Same due date here but mine is girl:) I am asian and my husband is European. Mostly, father's gene are dominant than mother's. Well, as long as our babies are healthy, gened will never be a probs if it is mine or his :)
