I've been tracking my weight because I'm underweight and trying to gain accordingly. My mom always told me, "your REAL weight is in the morning before you retain lots of water weight and meals." So I always weight myself in the morning. So that's the weight I record, but I also weigh myself in the eveningEvening primrose Evening primrose oil just out of curiosity. I'm beginning to wonder if I should use that weight instead...? Or maybe do the afternoon? A happy mediumMedium chain triglycerides haha? Any suggestions? I'm frustrated with my morning results!
Morning is def. the best time to weigh. You can weigh up to 2-3 pounds more throughout the day just from water weight, meals, etc...
I gained 50 pounds with my daughter and SWORE I wouldn't do that again. BUT I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and 20 lbs of that was water weight/swelling in the last 6 weeks!! This time around I am trying to be more careful...but the past few weeks haven't been good! I've eaten out more than I should have and had too many snacks. :) I am 12 wks and have gained 2.5 pounds so far. That's pretty good, for me anyway! My last pregnancy was throughout the winter so I wasn't able to get out and exercise...at least now that it's spring/summer I'm trying to take walks often. :)
honey, I only EVER weigh myself in the morning, with no clothes on, and after I've had a wee!!! Every little bit counts when we're not like you! LOL...
As for tracking weight gain, I'm rather trying to ignore it!
However, in all seriousness, I was checking because I thought I must be gaining enormous amounts seeing as I don't fit into anything but apparently despite feeling like a beached whale, I didn't gain an ounce in my first 12 weeks but I have now gained 2 lbs and am almost 14 weeks.
So, besides not gaining anything the first 12 weeks, you're right on track for the second trimester. It seems like as soon as I started tracking my weight I realized I was gaining. Not rapidly, but enough to make me feel comfortable. I've noticed it's all in my boobs, belly, and thighs. Not a big fan of my thighs.
boobs, belly, thighs... I'm not a big fan of any of them at the moment. The first are hurting my back and making my bra straps dig into my shoulders and the other two are just far to big to contemplate!!
I am 17 weeks 4 days and have quite a belly bump going on....but I haven't gained anything in fact I have lost 10 lbs since my first prenatal appointment! With my son I gained 25lbs and he was 9lbs 6oz! I have been eating a lot but have been avoiding the "junkie" stuff so maybe it is just my body adjusting too...who knows.
