Is anyone on prometrium-progesterone

I'ld like to know is anyone on prometrium suppository, because i'm on it & my Dr. said to stop by 12th week.
Has anyone of you heard about it- any sucess stories.
Dr. says after 12 weeks placenta would take care of it. I'm really scared....
This is my 3rd preg, after 2m/c- so scared. Any advice is appreciated.

thanks all . But I know for sure, only if we all cross our 12week mark  we'ld be more happier, because each of us have had one problem or the other. Goodluck to all of us.

I was told to stop at 12 weeks, but I've heard some stories about people having m/c if they stop all the sudden.  I was on a high dose,  200 3x a day.  So I've cut back to two a day this week (10 weeks) will probably do 1 a day or 1 and then 2 the next for week 11 and then stop at week 12.  It scares me too.

My original Doctor said 12 weeks also, but Im now seeing a midwife and she wants me to go to 14 weeks, I dont know why, I think that 12 weeks sounds good, maybe some of my symptoms would go away if I could quit taking that.

I did IVF and was on progesterone till yesterday as I am 12 weeks today. The last ultrasound I had was last thursday and the doctor said that the placenta looked good so progestreone probably wasnt necessary. Placenta takes over somewhere between 10 & 12 weeks providing necessary nutrients to the baby. So dont worry about stopping.

I am on progesterone suppositories because I miscarried my first pregnancy, I dont know if it is helping or not because when they checked my numbers before I started they were good, but they say they will drop causing miscarriage, so far Im 10w 5d and no bleeding or complications....I have to take them up to 14 weeks so I have about 3 weeks left
