Has anyone tried or heard of Intelligender?

Question

I was reading my pregnancy and newborn magazine tonight and came across an ad for IntelliGender. My husband when to their website intelligender.com and read up on the statistics of the product. It says it's 85-90% accurate if used correctly. It said it's sold at Walgreens and is supposed to predict the gender of your baby by mixing a urine sample (first one of the day) with chemicals already in the container.
I'm such a sucker, we went and bought one and are going to use it tomorrow morning. I was just curious if anyone else had tried it or knew anything about it. 
I think I'm having a girl, I'll give you all results tomorrow  :)

the one with the questions to answer was actually off ebay..im an ebay junkie..i paid like $2 then they send the ques and you answer them and send them back and they tell you what they come up with. i'm hopin they are wrong! LOL . if you were interested let me know and ill see exactly which one it was..theres a few different ones.

i bought one of these tests- i will do it in the morning and let you all know what it says. 

ive done something online that asks questions and then tells you what your having..it said 97% boy. the tech the other day at my u/s said it was early but she didnt see anything between the legs. i have 2 boys already and all i ever wanted was a girl- so im hopin girl! my boys and husband want and say boy..GO FIGURE!

lol well congrats :0) i go for a u/s on wed. 5/6 i will be 12 weeks so maybe they will tell me haah. just joking... i was going to do the inteligender i changed my mind tho its like 40.00 and not 100% accurate.. again Congrats

Oh wow! I'm surprised a doctor would tell you this early on!  I mean what do I know?  But I'm just surprised.  I think you're right to be skeptical about both 'results'!! LOL...

so i had an ultra sound done today, dr thinks there's a definite penis. intelligender said girl. But i'm also only 12 weeks so I'm not completely convinced the baby is a boy yet.

i am looking at it also... maybe this weekend ill grab one. if i can find a cheap one i think they r like 45.00 here :0( thats kinda pricey for me. lol

yay! i'm glad someone else tried it! I did some research on other people's results and accuracy... it seemed about 50% accurate haha. But who knows if people followed the directions right. Either way, it was still fun so see what the result would be.

I bought the test last night. I used it this morning and according to results I'm having a boy. We'll see if it's true or not in about 8 weeks. It was fun anyway :)

Michelle, thanks for the suggestion but actually I'm currently living in Syria and I wouldn't stand a hope in hell of something like that making it through the post over here!!! Maybe I'll try it in the summer when we go away for our hols.  At that point I'll be about ready to do an u/s to determine gender but maybe I'll try one of these tests then go do the u/s and see if the test is accurate or not!!

hey there was a girl i know in the oct babies forum, she did it and it said boy. so i dont really know what determines it! i'll let you know if i do it.

so we did it and the results were girl. but i can't really even be excited because it's kind of hard to believe ya know? it said if your pee stays yellowish orange or gets darker-girl. If it turns greenish or smokey green-boy. So, i feel like if it's not legit it's more than likely going to say girl. (when nothing happens!) who knows... i was just thinking, could they really market a product that's complete bull?? (probably haha) 
I wish someone else would do it so at least i could know if it would even do boy!

yes ive heard of it. i actually was going to buy it too. just to see what it would say. i wouldnt believe it or anything. i dont know how they would know its gender just from peeing in a cup. i know theres other chemicals that mixes with it but still. im sure i will end up getting it soon! it will be fun just to see the outcome. yes please let us know the results!
