Looking for opinions!

I saw the doctor today. I'm 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. She said if she felt around my cervix any more she'd put me in labor. I would be totally fine with that EXCEPT my husband won't be home for 5 more days!! Just curious if there's any second+ time mommies out there who can tell me if they think I'll make it 5 days. Any suggestions to hold off labor? I'm soooo excited but really want my hubby here for the birth. All of my family lives 1600 miles away and I have no plan B for anyone else in the delivery room. : /
FYI: My original due date was Nov 13. Then I got bumped up to Nov 7.
WISH ME LUCK!

Thanks for the feedback! I think you're both right. Every woman is different so I'll just have to wait and see! Before today she hadn't checked my cervix for 3 weeks so I have NO idea how long I've been dilated to 2cm. Oh well, it will be what it will.

dont worry to much not to good for you.. but just to be sure ur lil man waits for daddy take it easy and slow relax no lifting and doing to much housework cooking cleaning... for my with my dd i was 1 1/2 dilated and 50% effaced at around 37 weeks and i didnt go into labor until they tried to induce me at 40weeks it didnt work at the hospital so they sent me home and then once i got home like 20min later my water broke..soo just take it easy some woman go fast into labor while others stay at 2 cm for a few weeks it just depends on ur body and the baby.. Praying your lil one hold off for daddy.. Good Luck :0)

I'm not sure myself as this is my first but that happened to my sister in law in September there the midwife told her the same information on the monday and it wasn't until the saturday she had her baby. That was her walking and bouncing on a birthing ball constantly. So maybe it will be another 5 days anyway - hopefully

Good luck
