Anyone feeling tired at 24 weeks?

I am excited about everything else and specially the kicks but I feel as if I have no energy at all after I get back  home from work and work is not strenuos either. I thought 2nd trimester makes you more energetic but not me!

I asked my OB about the fatigue and he just said "You're tired because you're 39 and pregnant." Not helpful at all :( Maybe if I exercised more??? Gawd I hope it doesn't get any worse, I've still got about 3 months to go!

I have the same problem... I can't wait for dd's afternoon nap and sometimes fall asleep before she does!  However, I've been having a lot of middle-of-the-night insomnia where I wake up to go to the bathroom then can't get back to sleep for a couple of hours.  Also, dh likes to have a glass of wine and talk after dd finally falls asleep at 10PM, so sometimes I'm up until after midnight, not drinking wine :-(

Glad to hear similar experiences...I thought maybe its my eating or lack of exercise or my body is not adjusting well:) But I feel every day that we are getting closer to the D day...:)

I have been tired from the day I got pregnant.  It's getting worse as the pregnancy goes on.  I come home from work and take a nap which sometimes lasts for 2 hours!!!!!  Last night I was in bed by 9pm.  I can't tell you the last time I went to be that early.  I actually said something to my MD because like you said above the second trimester is supposed to be the "honeymoon" phase where your energy returns.  She told me that some people just get very tired with pregnancy and it doesn't get any better.  Just what I wanted to hear.  Can't wait to see what the third trimester is like (yeah almost there).  Good luck ladies and keep taking those naps.

Same thing here ... but am on progesterone 3 x a day, so it may not be a fair comparison.  I swear I may have more energy after the baby's born.  Don't think that's how it's supposed to work!  :)

funny you mention this becasue I was just saying the exact same thing to a freind of mine over the weekend. I am so sleepy these days. I am finding I have more energy through the day but by the time I get home from work I am exhausted. I physically feel better (no sickness) but I am much more tired, I am 23 weeks.
