Yeah they told me to go in and see the doc. They measured the baby and they said I'm 8 weeks and 2 days.....lol....I had an vaginal ultrasound. And we were able to hear the babys heart beat.
I actually heard boys heart rates are higher because they are generally smaller when born (that came from my instructor during clinical at school). It did hold true for my sister because she had girl who had a lower heart rate and just had a boy with a higher heart rate. But there are other people I know that have two of the same gender children and one had a high heart rate and the other had a lower heart rate. I think that right now it's still to soon to go by the heart rate because they are still trying to regulate their heart rates. Did you have an ultrasound done or were they able to hear it on the doppler during your visit? I have my first OB visit Monday and I am 8 weeks as well so I am just curious if they were able to hear it with the doppler.
That is the myth ... but you really can't count on it.
