Sandwiches!!

Hey mommas. So I'm having major sandwich cravings and broke down today... I bought pre-packaged target brand turkey. I heard listeria is more of a risk with meat from the deli... anyone heard that?

Yea, this stinks - right before I started getting the all day nausea and food aversion issues (I can't even stomach or look at salmon or chicken), I bought a ton of healthy food and lunch meat to makes sandwiches to bring to work. And I had a prepackaged shoprite turkey sandwich that day (I was around 6 weeks then).. thereafter, I found out about the no deli meat thing. I'm at 8-9 weeks now and haven't touched deli meat since. If I were you, I would just suck it up and ignore those cravings just in case!

My doc told me no lunch meat unless it's heated first.  I also work in foodsafety, so I would recommend heating the meat to at least 165 degrees F and once you open the package, use it within 7 days

I was told no lunch meat or bologna of any kind is safe to eat during pregnancy.
