If you ever feel contractions drink about 2 glasses of water and lay on your side. Not enough water can cause contractions which can lead to preterm labor, labor pains will only get worse not better. If if you lay on your side after the water for a few hours and they arent better and the contractions are within minutes go to the ER and also call your doc before hand in case hes got other suggestions.
I've been wondering this same thing actually. I keep having episodes of cramping that come on, peak, then dissipate (like a contraction?). Nothing regular, but severe enough to wake me out of sleep. I'm 30 weeks.
I've always had cramping with my BM's and I am so irregular right now--I don't know if that's the cause or not.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thank You :)

Sometimes contractions indicate pre term labor and or back pain but when in doubt ask your doctor. I like the name Carson. Esp. the meaning behind it!! Oh, and welcome to the forum! Let me know when you have a definite name so I can add you to the pink/blue team!!
