Cats

Hi girls i have 3 cats and i was wondering if any one has had any problem with their family pets sleeping in or on the baby's stuff. the only thing i have is a "dirty with daddy in garage" stroller and my skittish cat likes to sleep under the carseat in the stroller when i see her in there i of course take her out. but that is up stairs and the nursery and now my computer is up stairs so i dont come up here that often because the humidy in minnesota makes an upstairs with no ac very warm i do have a door but if i were to shut the door it would be very hot in there. so if any one has any suggestions on what to do with the cats/animals that would be great

Nicole- definitely put his bed in front of a new window ASAP. And we started putting our cat out of our room before bedtime because he liked to sleep with us, too. I do let him cuddle and play with me while I read/journal while in bed. But once it is lights-out he is out of our room. He's gotten so used to it that he almost knows when it's time to leave without us having to pick him up and put him out of our room. We also got him a "cat condo" and he just lazes and sleeps on that thing all the time!

The sooner you do these things the easier a transition it'll be when baby comes! I'd hate for him to feel resentful and do something to baby.

i have a cat that is super clingy to me, and he has a window that is always open with his pillow in front of it, lays there all day while i'm out, it is in what will be the babies room.  i am hoping that i can keep him out once the baby arrives.  but he is a cuddler in bed and my concern is he will get in the crib or bassinet while baby sleeps and he is a huge 12lbs., long hair, and smother him while he sleeps!!  i like the balloon idea and will have to try it!!

to be honest, I put an extra sheet on my baby stuff and take it off when I want to use it.  I dont want my cats to try to sneak in there or to feel resentful toward baby.  I have ehard that you can put balloons in cribs, seats... and the cats will totally leave it alone.
