Question and somewhat concern

I went to my doctor for the first time yesturday and the nurse let me hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time. Accourding to her she said that the heartbeat was around 140bpm. But when I went for a free ultrasound at a Christion based organization the lady(not specialized) told me it was 166bpm. Should I be worried if the heartbeat went down or could it just be that one of them is wrong???.... Don't get it and I'm kinda concern. Although I'm simply happy I heard a heartbeat. Is the heartbeat supposed to jump up and down or should it be increasing???

Don't be concerned.  It is okay.  Your baby could have been sleeping.  The heartbeat is going to vary.  A healthy fetal heartbeat is 120-180.  Your baby is fine.  I know it is hard not to stress.  I have been feeling better the last three days and I am scared to death something is wrong.  Worry is what mother's do.

I think sometimes it depends on how active the baby is. I know with my son, whenever he was resting, his heart rate would be 135 and when he was very active, it was 145-150. The baby could have been sleeping when the nurse listened on the doppler. It constantly changes and is never a perfect rate at any given time. I'm sure if she had listened again, it could have been a little higher than the first time. I wouldn't worry about it. When I went for my u/s...the tech told me they are only concerned if the heart rate were to go below 100. You sound just fine.
