I wouldn't worry too much. Its most likely just the stretching of your ligaments and probably baby kicking you. I had it on and off my first pregnancy and have been having it again with this one. If you drink some water or pee (if you've been holding it) you'll probably feel a whole bunch better.
I am going to call my OB Monday and ask but I am figuring its just where all the ligaments are stretching and Naomi is kicking. I will be 5 months Tuesday so I am figuring thats what the problem is it just happens when I sit on the ground and get up.
Hello,
Have you talked to your OBGYN? IF not you could give a call.
It sounds to me like the ligaments are stretching due to the growing uterus.
This will happen throughout pregnancy as the uterus grows.
How far along are you? Are you emptying your bladder completely when you urinate?
Keep us updated as to what the doctor says...
Take Care,
~Tonya
I would see someone about this as soon as possible if You're able to.
It can be normal for some people during early pregnancy as the uterus is getting ready however It has happened to me not long ago and was not a good sign. It happened to me in my lower abdomen and was mostly to one side, I would suggest having it checked and taking the day off work.
Best of luck
If this is where I am thinking you are describing, you could have ovarian cysts. Does the pain intensify when you have your period, and or when you are ovulating? Does it stay only on one side or happen on both sides? (Around 14 days after your period starts?) I have suffered with ovarian cysts since I first started my period, and have continued for 20 years - having cysts. While I was never diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) I still had to suffer with many cysts over the years. The only time I didn't have to worry about the pain was when I was on the Birth Control Pill, which prevented cysts from forming (cysts form from the follicles on your ovaries that either do not release an egg properly as they should or for other reasons.) Sounds very much like cyst pain, but I am afraid it could be from other reasons as well. Endometriosis can cause pain, as can a retroverted (tilted) uterus. So, if you want to get to the bottom of your pain, I would suggest you see your doctor, either ask to see an Gynaecologist or have your doctor send you for a pelvic ultrasound that could determine the cause of your pain. Unfortunately there are so many reasons and it is hard to say without a diagnostic test to determine. I hope it is something simple and rectifiable. No one should suffer with pain that can be prevented or fixed. Please let me know if you do find out.
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.
Sincerely,
Sandi (Dragon1973)
