Sore abdomen after birth?

I had a natural birth on October 4th, and my abdomen is still sore up to my navel.  My placenta came out fully intact.  I just don't remember being sore like this.  Anyone else have this?

Thanks NicMom, yeah I don't recall having this, it almost feels like you have done a ton of sit-ups, could just be my body getting back in check.

I was really sore for about two weeks off and on. Even now at 4 weeks I get cramping from time to time. They say with each child the cramping gets worse and it takes longer for things to get back into place. Try a hot bath it seems to help.

No actually something that happened right after birth... you know that feeling you get when they press down on your stomach to get your uterus to clamp down, that's how it still feels.  My bleeding is normal though, just light lochia.
