Help!! question about paternity :( x

Hi i am looking for your opinions on who my babys father is. I am pretty sure its my partner of 6 years but would like to hear what you all think...
I was with my partner all through December 2011 and up until the 12th of January 2012 and having regular (say every other day) unprotected sex.
We had a stupid row and i very foolishly had sex with a friend on January the 17th using the withdrawal method of contraception. I know this makes me sound awful and i am honestly so ashamed :( .
Me and my partner are now back together, he is aware there is a chance the other man is the father but we are trying to work things out.
My dating scan (ultrasound) puts my baby at 11 weeks 6 days today making the date of conception the 28th of December and my due date as October 2nd.
To me this puts my partner as the Daddy, what do you think guys?
Obv' we will be getting a DNA test as soon as the baby is born but it would just help me enjoy my pregnancy if i have others opinions on this....Thankyou in advance

oops sorry I was reading it wrong - you had sex with your partner up until Jan 12 and then had sex with the friend on 17th Jan.

If that was the case then it's most likely to be your partners. But obviously, like said before, that's not certain and the DNA test will be. Also since your cycles are so irregular there's no way to tell when you ovulated. But right now, judging by the information you gave I would say it's more likely to be your partners, because you would only be 8 or so weeks if it was the friend. Again, sorry, I totally misread it above when working out dates!

hi, thanks for your comments, my last period was on the 20th Dec and have not bled since, i am a bit confused by kitkats answer as i had sex with a friend on the 17th of jan which taking into consideration the week for implantation i worked ou that i would only be 8 weeks pregnant if the baby was his, where as i will be 12 weeks tomorrow. I asked the sonographer and the midwife how accurate the dating scan is and was told by both seperatley they are accurate to within 2/3 days. My cycle is literally all over the place from bleeding twice in a 28 day period to 42 days apart, which is normal for me, but also why dating scan is so important as to giving babys correct age for accuracy of blood results etc...
So confused now :( x

There is no way to tell exactly when date of conception is. Dates can be off by a couple of days, or a couple weeks. When was your last period before finding out you were pregnant. Have you had a period in between having sex with a friend?

You had sex with your husband all through December and then this other man January 12th. So looking at Jan 12th date when you had sex - if you did get pregnant then, then it would have been at least a week after that before the egg was implanted etc - which would put you at 10/11 weeks pregnant right now. Which is your dates so it's very possible he could be the father. Obviously because dates can be off then it could be your husband, but from having sex throughout December you would be 12 weeks or more by now.

I think it's more likely the friend is the father, but obviously there's no way to know for sure until baby is here and the DNA test is done.
