Do not be afraid to go to the ER.  If this was happening to me I would be going straight to the hospital.  I would be concerned about pre-term labor but then again it could be nothing.  When it comes to the health of the baby don't take chances.  I think you should head to the Doctor or hospital.

Can you describe what you're feeling a little better? Baby is getting some good size around 26 weeks, it's possible baby is just sitting in a funny position? Are you having other symptoms? Such as numbness, cramping, nausea, bleeding, etc? Do you feel baby moving?

With my second baby I had a kidney stone.  The first sensations were the need to "void" everything.  My body was telling me "get it out", causing me to vomit, urinate, and defecate practically all at once.  Then slowly I started feeling incredibly painful shooting pains traveling from my back to my front.

Anyway... listen to your body, and if your doctor/insurance has a number for an emergency nurse to talk with don't hesitate to call!  Good luck! :)
