I looked for info in the march of dimes site. If you have it and give natural birth it looks like you will be on iv antibiotics. Its a normal bacertia found in the body. Did your dr give you any info? It affects 25 percent of women it says. Will not harm you but you can pass to baby which may cause problems.  But thats why they would do antibiotics during labor and birt to help prevent it from spreading. I hope that helps. Try not to stress and talk to your dr for more info.
