I had that same problem with my two yr old when I was pregnant with him... It was in my left butt cheek the pain was so horrible that I could not walk or sit down I could only lay on my right side and cry my doctor says it came from the pressure of my baby weight he was a huge baby.. 9 pounds 8 ounces.... Now I got a lil pressure but its not as bad...

Dont be embarrassed! I actually just went to the dr yesterday morning because of the same thing. I have really sharp pain through my right butt cheek that sometimes makes it difficult to walk, and sleep. For me we pretty much know the cause. I had a bad back injury a few years ago, and the pressure from the baby growing is causing the nerves to become very sensitive. But from what I understand my mother (who had no back problems whatsoever) also had nerve pain in that area when she was pregnant.
Anyways just trying to let you know you arent alone! Good luck, and dont be afraid to ask your doctor (they are going to see everything anyways). They might have some exercises that you can do to help relieve the pain.

Could be sciatic nerve pain..the sciatic nerve runs right through your butt cheek. If thats what it is its a common thing during pregnancy...but most definitely share it with your doctor.

Don't be embarrassed to tell your doctor anything!  The amount of things he or she hears trust me its not gonna shock them.  I'm a nurse so I've heard a lot lol but I can't quite think of what to tell you if its your butt cheek...  it could be constipation perhaps.
