vaginal ultrasound

Hello ladies im new here.. Has anybody here gotten a vaginal ultrasound?? Im getting one tomorrow im 9w3days... Is it better than a normal ultrasound???

Just had one today!  Definitely allows you to see the baby better and is not as bad as I thought

I was 5weeks 4 days when i had my first ultrasound and only the internal ultrasound could see my baby :) was very pleased as before i had that one i was given a normal ultrasound and told that the sac was empty

Hi ladies yeah i did see my baby... And its true you can see it better than the normal one..

Did you see baby? I prefer vaginal over topical because I can see baby better.

Yes, I had a transvaginal u/s and was told it is better.  They are able to see better whats going on inside via transvaginally.  I had mine done at 6wks6d and saw baby bean and heartbeat.  Good luck!!!  We can't wait to hear all about it!

I have had a couple the earlier you are the better they can see the baby the farther you get they can use the one on your belly!! Good luck!!

I've had vaginal ultrasounds with all my pregnancies. They can be a little uncomfortable, but it gives the doctor a clearer picture. They also couldnt see my right ovary through a normal ultrasound, so the vaginal ultrasound was a neccesity to determine if the ovary was healthy.

Yes. I had one march 5th. They gave me 3 great pictures one showing arms and legs even, another showing size, and another showing heart/heartbeat. I was surprised to even get an ultrasound at my first appt much less one so detailed. I was 9w4d at time of appt.
