Can I give my baby (shes 9 days old) an actual bath now that her umbilical cord fell off or do I still have to wait until her belly button is.completely healed??

I was told to bath my baby as soon as I got home to keep the wound clean. She is now 4 days old and has had a couple of baths now. Loves them. The umbilical cord is drying out nicely.

With my last baby (#4) I completely forgot that we were supposed to wait! I gave her at bath just two days after we got home. There was no major issue afterwords. I just didn't give her another one until the umbilical cord came off. See, even the veteran moms make mistakes from time to time. ;)
