membrane sweep @ 39 weeks

Today my midwife did a membrane sweep (stretch and sweep) straight away I started to get period like cramps. They aren't consistent enough just yet. Has anyone else experienced instant cramping after having a sweep done?

I was super uncomfortable after mine - tons of contractions. I rested and took a hot shower and slept and the next morning I was OK.

Thanks :) I'm hoping I go into labour soon. It's been really uncomfortable since the sweep. Fingers crossed x

Yes that gave me period like cramps as well. Went into labor a few days after the sweep though :)

I turned one down today so I can't answer from personal experience but I've heard lots of people get period pain straight after, it's completely normal, I hope it goes well for you x x x
