Its been a weird week or so. I started panicking and spoke to my boss who is a doctor she said not to panic and just eat what i can keep down and didnt spike my blood sugar.(which happily turned out to be skinny chips) and since then my weigh has been going up last weekend but im not gona check again untill my appointment. Im sure its all baby coz my bump feels bigger if that makes sence.
I have my next gd appointment on friday with a scan incul...im not gona lie im kinda nervous. I want them to tell me ill be having him early but at the same time i dont want anything to be wrong with him.
How have u been? I saw ur post about been induced at 35weeks. I cant get over how brave u are!
Hi Hailz91!
What did your GD Doctor tell you when you spoke with them? Hope you're feeling well and your weight balanced back out.
Thanks jamieSF first of all thanks for sharing i hope ur ok!
Iv been off work since 26ish weeks practically bed bound and rediculasly bored.
Iv mangage to find a cheat to my diet in chips (oven cooked) they dont raise my blood sugar. I can also eat a burger without the buns. Iv even found biscutes that i can eat which was important for my cup of tea. Haha
Iv decided im gona call my gd midwife on monday if my weight has drop more just to see if i can get a scan or something coz iv no idea how big my little man is. I was never told size or anything at 21weeks scan so its really playing on my mind.
I was also tecnically over weight before pregnancy i started off at 74.9kg peeked at 80.1kg and now dropped down to 77.9kg my bump doesnt even look that big if i wear a hoodie ud never know i was 31+4
I recently started staying home, and although I'm eating just as much, I think perhaps I am making healthier decisions being at home rather than work which might be causing the weight loss perhaps?? As 27 weeks, Mister was 3lbs... Chunky monkey! I have only gained 14lbs at 31+1 days. (I was also considered overweight when I got pregnant, so a lower weight gain for me is safe).
You might be surprised how much those mashed potatoes are keeping off of you! Lol... Or rather, how your body is responding with the GD and not having the mashed potatoes to feed off of... Just eat healthy and take a deep breathe. I'm sure your little pumpkin is just fine.
Ps. I am high risk because of a tumor they found in my chest, not because of the pregnancy itself :) FTM here too.
I have lost 7lbs in the past 3 weeks. I'm eating consistently throughout the day and I'm remaining very well hydrated. My high risk OB said that so long as I am eating consistently with snacks throughout the day and he is moving around throughout the day as he should be, to not worry about the baby. He said very simply "if you're eating, the baby is getting his nutrients"... He did say to monitor it and if it continued over the next 2 weeks, he would bring me in to just do a double check. But was confident little Mister was just fine.
Thanks id love to know what they say to u.
Im the same been worring about everything, im a ftm and having an awful pregnacy (gd and pelvic girdle pain) and just worried that my baby is small always have. hes swimming around like hes loads of space and not even attempting to get into position im 31+3
I am always worried honestly!! Have my appointment on 29th august. I will let you knw how things go. But i was warned from the beginning that people with GD tend to lose wieght but their babies might be little bigger in size. :) i forgot what was the reason behind that! Ughhh my brain..
I do have gd but my diet hasnt really changed infact im eating more and not excersizing at all. The only thing thats changed since the gd is no more mash potato this baby never liked sweet things infact chocolate makes me sick and has done since day 1.
So ur not worried? Iv lost basically 3kg in 3 weeks without moving.
My next appointment isnt untill 11sept
I have been losing weight since my last 2 OB visit. Over all 3 lbs till now. My doctor says it could be due to my GD diet! I had an ultrasound to make sure baby was growing well. And seemed like everything was fine. He was weighing 2.6 lbs at 29 weeks. So could a healthy change if you have GD like me. :)
