Baby Names:)

by Latrice414, Mar 17, 2009 03:17PM
I have a few names that i thought of, DF hates them all, the last name is what he came up with and likes. I really like Hailey and Mackenzi. Ive actually been calling my baby, Baby Mackenzi

My son was like Mom, there are no black Hailey's and when they hear the name Mackenzi they expect a girl in the sub burbs, What has gotten into kids these days.  I no im african american but i think those names can fit on african american kids.

Oh my gosh I'm laughing from reading this. How old is your son? That sounds like something my 10 year old would say.

I like Hailey, Taylor, and Katelynn. I think Aereonna would get called Aeriola in school. I always try to think about how kids are going to make fun of a name when considering my options. Also Aereonna would almost always be pronounced wrong.

LOL, my son is 13 going on 14, i was very tickled when he said that, but i was like dang even if you dont teach kids things they still learn how to sterotype:(

LOL I thought the same thing for Aereonna.  It's pretty but too close to aeriola!

I also like Haily and Katelynn.

Wait, what if it's a boy?  You didn't find out the gender already and I missed it did you!?!?!  :)

I love the name Hailey and I like Mackenzie, Taylor and Kaitlyn....actually you have 4 of thems that I've been considering for mine! LOL!  Obviously the ones I'm voting for.

Not crazy about the last choice...I think it would be messed up in school and she could be teased.   Plus the teacher would alway mess up the pronunciation.

I like Taylor and Mackenzie the best i think. My daughter is called Janaya (i've always liked that name since i heard it when i was at high school.
If i'm carrying a girl this time i like the name Michala and Leah and for a boy i like Lincoln. Not sure what my husband thinks of them yet.
Good luck finding a name you both like its hard isn't it.

Kids!!  And yes, they learn it even if you don't teach it :(

I love all of those names to be honest!!!  And it is hard to find a name you both like.  If we were to get a boy, my husband wants to name it after him and I HATE doing that.  We have been fighting about it for years and I have just been lucky enough to have girls so it hasn't been an issue.  My son is the oldest and is from a previous marriage.

I like all of the names, so I didn't vote.  They are all wonderful names.

Amy: I didnt find out the sex yet, lol i wish, but i have a strange feeling its a girl.

I havent completed my list for boy names yet, but even the ones i came up with  DF doesnt like, and he isnt really big on naming the baby a JR,

Conner, Tyler and Tristen is the names i have so far, i was going to go with an Urban name for the boy but i changed my mind lol.

by amberd5191, Mar 18, 2009 08:29PM
We like the name Tristen as well, my one son's name is Tyler : ) Looks like we have some of the same tastes in names...I like Conner too my husband doesn't...I also decided I like Elijah- don't feel bad I've heard cracks about that name too... People! Hmp.

I like them all, Latrice!
LMAO at Nic's comment, ariola? That gave me a loud chuckle here at work.  hehe

The name Taylor can be for either gender.  ( I have a son named Taylor )

I am also considering the name Haley.  But most likely we'll go with Hannah.  The good thing is even though we all might be considering the same names, at least our kids wont be going to school together, so it wont be like a big deal.

LOL, that is so true 35momof, can you imagine if all the women on med help was from the same town, all the september mommies kids would be in the same class with the same names lol.

I like Hannah also, but someone i no named there baby that name.

We have like 4 Elijah's in our family:)
