Reason behind high progesterone level?

Hi
I am TTC and no periods since last 10 weeks.. took clomid during the last cycle..No pregnancy according to Blood report..
20 days back I went for check up Doc saw a big cyst on my right ovary and told me to get my blood work done.. Progesterone level was at 9.6.. Doc told me to wait to for the Progesterone level to come down before taking the Provera.. I waited for my period
Last week again went for Blood check, Progesterone level was 16.7... and HPT was negative..
I just want to know what is happening with my body?? pls share your experiences, any suggestions and links are also welcome..
