Baby shower

Hi friends,

Who all have finished doing the Baby shower?
Mine is yet not done.
We settled on 9th Aug as the date, but DH has office trip srnd then. Another date is 11th July, but no one from my family or his can make for it!
What should i do...iv been so keen for baby shower thingy all the while!

Hey Stacey, i like your comment on the gift thingy :-)
But im at Singapore and here we dont have the registry gift concept unlike the West.

I love your suggestion about 2 baby showers, but except for me no in the family is 'IN' for it.am calling it a day now..will write more tomo.

The summer is soo busy!  I think if you can give most people advance notice they should be able to adjust their schedules.   Two showers is definitely a good idea!  Even if a lot of people can't go, make sure you send them an invite with your registry info so they still send you a gift! :)

Mine is set for July 12.  Originally I thought it was early but now it will be perfect since my c-section is one month later - Aug 12!

I agree with everyone else, or you can ask everyone what is a good weekend for them,  I was going to have a coed babyshower and when i called my family memebers and friends the males decided that would not come, so no DF is like well i wont go, i ll come at the end, since it will be all women.(besides my uncle who will be taking pictures)

My shower is not until july 26th which i had  to plan around a whole lot of other things, like my sister's b-day is july 24th, my son b-day is the 14th, my cousins is the 15th, and one cousin's is the 16th so this will be a very busy month, and june was not better, it was busy too.

I hope you can find a soultion, for time is really flyn by, keep us posted

I had mine last weekend it so much fun. Now I'm under the gun to finish the nursery so I have a place to put all this stuff!

Maybe you should do two showers one for family and one for friends?

I haven't had my shower yet either, it's scheduled for August 1st.

I hope you, DH and family can compromise on a date...Maybey you can have two showers, one for your families and another for friends...just a thought...
