Good luck on your induction. Remember first time moms do not dilate quickly all the time. Do not beat yourself up. Your body will respond to the induction medication on its own time. Stay optimistic. Can't wait to hear about your successful delivery. Whether it be vaginal or C-section, your healthy baby is the greatest reward:)
I am glad that you are closer to seeing your healthy baby. However, I will let you know that the mucus plug can come out hours before delivery and sometimes 2 weeks before delivery. We, nurses and MDs on labor & delivery, NEVER put too much emphasis the mucus plug because it does not mean much. Make sure you don't go in to the hospital unless your amniotic fluid begins to leak ("your water breaking") or you begin to experience contractions that are about 5 minutes apart that you cannot talk through, or you experience bright red vaginal bleeding or excruciating pain. It is sad to see when a woman comes to labor & delivery and tells us her mucus plug has come out and nothing else is going on and she is discharged home after an hour because this does not signify that you are in labor. Those women seem so discouraged and it is truly sad to see. I wish you well. Take care.
yay! sounds like it's getting close! Can't wait to hear.
