Maybe a bit of TMI....

So, I just kinda have a question here....
I'm now 38wks3d, and have been feeling a bit off today...
All morning I've been having what I can only assume is BH contractions (an uncomfortable, but not painful, hardening of my uterus, coming in random spurts...nothing I was concerning myself with, for its been happening for quite some time now), for the past 3-4 days have had insane lower back pain that today feels a little dif than it has been (intensifies as my uterus tightens, normally it just aches), and have passed 2 loose stools (almost what I would consider diarrhea). I've heard that loose stools can be a sign of labor coming soon? I don't know how much stock to put into all of this....

A few days ago I lost my mucus (sp?) plug, not sure on the exact date.

Just wanted to get an opinion from those of you that have already been through this..
Think I should tell DH that I think it could very well happen soon? Or should I just keep him out of the loop because its probably still going to be awhile? Cuz he's got to work tonight and I don't want him to be frazzled all night.. if I tell him he'll call every 2 hrs to check on me, and spend all night worrying about what I'm doing.

BTW-- this is my first...and I'm dilated 1cm, wasn't thinned out as of Monday.

I'm hoping labor will start sometime in the next couple of days....I'm thinking I **might** even be progressing as we speak. I don't want to jinx it, but all day the contractions have slowly gotten stronger, but nothing consistent or extremely painful yet.

I hope to get to meet my little one very soon!!!
Keep your fingers crossed for me, ladies!!

I agree with asking4, but i would not worry DH, just call him when the pain is there and you need to be at the hospital, no need for him to be worrying all night.  Even though everything sounds promising, its always a possibility of baby not coming anytime soon.  I say just keep paying attention to the pain and when its 5 min apart, then let DH be worried:)

i would say what you are describing sounds promising. with bh, you dont feel anything in your back and if the pain in your back intensifies when you have the tightening in your stomach, sounds like a real contraction!! and the loose stool is another good sign!! i bet by your next appointment you will have made some progress!! Good luck, its almost time!!
