PLans for the 1st birthday?

Hi Gals,
What all have u planned for your babies 1st birthday bash? Im still thinking and thinking and thinking. How about having Zoo as the birthday theme? get all kids dressed into their fav animal and comeover, have animal rhymes and animal games...(just a thought)!
will this work or 1yr old is too small for all this? :)

lemme know your ideas, how abt goodies bag?

Hey ladies! MaKayla's 1st Birthday Celebration is going to have a Diva theme! I found it online at Birthdayexpress.com. I am so excited!!!

I have a large family and a ton of friends, so her celebration will be pretty big! Hey...you only turn one once!

mickey LOVESSS the show "blue's clues" so he is going to have a blues clues cake, some blue decorations, and finger foods to eat for the guests.. we're also going to have a little pool outside, and a sprinkler for the kids to play with. nothing big, but something a little special. he won't really understand, so i dont see the point in going all out. he'll def get to indulge in his own little cake, and im going to ask people not to bring big presents, i just dont like the idea of him expecting that every birthday.

I have to admit, I don't normally do much for the first few birthdays.  We just have so many and they won't remember it.  I kind of take advantage of that.  LOL!!  With so many, it just gets so expensive.  DH has a huge family and then I have about about 7 people I normally invite.  It gets really expensive to feed that many people.  I remember one year my DH decided he wanted to do hamburgers and hot dogs for one of my daughter's birthdays.  I spent like $200 on everything and that was just food.  I spend about that on groceries for one week.  I told him we just couldn't do that every year for all of the kids.  It just gets to be too much.  And now that I am a SAHM, we really have to watch it.  Soooooo, I don't know what we will do for Mary yet.  It is coming around very soon and it will be right after school starts so it is very chaotic around here at that time.  She is our 5th little princess, so I will probably do something along those lines but on a very small scale.  I probably will just have a snack tray of some sort and maybe some dips.

im not sure what i am doing, its hard bcuz 3 of my cousing will hae parties b4 Trinity and i dont want to repeat any of their ideas.  My one cousin is haing her daugther party at a daycare center which i think is awsome,

My friends did a zoo theme for her little ones 1st birthday. It was quite successful!

We have sent out our invites for lilys princess party, we are having face painting and a few other games. Just some finger foods. I have started to collect some stuff for her goodie bags, we are putting some beautiful hair clips in for the girls and some matchbox cars for the boys!

SO many things to plan, looking forward to hearing everyone elses ideas
