Update on OB appt today

Had my OB appt today and thought it was going to be so boring and standard. But it wasnt, she did a pap, breast exam, and asked me did i plan on keeping my nipple piercings since i plan on breastfeeding. They took urine, and nine tubes of blood. She is actually goin to run the standard blood clotting disorders since i mentioned it to her. She is actually going to run a sickle cell test, I just found out my 1st cousin has sickle cell disease, that means both his parents have the trait meaning one of my grandparents has the trait and they have 10 kids so no telling if my dad has the trait or not, he has never been tested for it.

Then the best part of the exam was she brought in the portable U/S boy was it a small machine, I was not expecting to get my u/s until tuesday but she did one and we saw the heart just fluttering away, i was so amazed at how that funny shaped baby is so alive in me. DF was jus smiling sayn look at HIS heart fluttering. (as if he jus no its going to be a boy lol)  I go back to see her in 2weeks and she will look again so we can see the heartbeat. I am so excited, I so love that office, its the same people from the last time since my m/c, and the same nurse interviewed me and gave her condolences again and said how she was happy for us and would keep us in her prayers.

This is going to be a great journey for all of us, with all the sharing of news and showing the u/s

Yay! Congrats, that is amazing. Its nice that they brought in the ultrasound so you could see the baby!
