We switched formula today

Bella has had bad reflux since she was born, but after I quit bfing it's been getting worse. Today the dr switched us from Similac advanced to Good Start. I was kind of excited to hear that Good Start is way less expensive than Similac I hope it works out for us. She has been doing this great thing where she fire hose vomits several times a day. You know what I mean by fire hose, like the projectile vomit all over the place! It's been crazy my carpets are ruined and I can't even keep up with the laundry anymore. LOL the best one happened at PF Changs over the back of a booth onto the bench behind us where people were eating. It didn't get on them, but I'm pretty sure it ruined lunch.

Anyhow she's had one 50/50 bottle so far and she's holding it down. Wish us luck!

Mickey just has mild reflux. He was eventually switched to Nutramigen(sp?).. he's been on it for about 2 months now probably. Its $21 a can here, though... He's been doing WONDERFUL on it. We've tried about 7 dif formulas, which was ridiculous but we've found what worked!

I hope it works for Miss Bella. :] Aliviyah has been on Good Start for a while, and it still isn't helping. I've tried Similac, Enfamil, and Soy based formula and even the kind that ummm I think its called Similac Alimentum. And she still spit up. I think she just can't tolerate milk. I'm hoping when we go to her 4 month appt. the pedi can figure something out! I'm tired of changing my outfit 3 times a day and hers 6 :] I feel as if I can't hold her or anything when she eats. But let me know how it all works out for Bella! :] Keeping you ladies in my prayers!

My son was on Similac Advanced, then Enfamil Premium and now he's finally on Good Start, and it seems to be working.  And while your daughter has terrible reflux, my son had terrible gas pains and a terrible time pooping... and Good Start seems to be working... and he's been on if for ohh about two months now... and while I know all babys are different my ped. said that Good Start is the easist fromual for your little one to digest.... Any who I wish you luck because it has seemed to work for us... ohhh something I should add, my ped said not to mix the formuals, and that it's okay just to change it out right without any warning, plus the fromula will be out of your daughter before you know it... which usually takes about two days to be fully rid of the other fromula... so don't expect immediate changes.
