Has this happened to you...?

So I read the what to expect when you are expecting book every time I get pregnant (I am on book number 5) and I have always read about pregnant women peeing their pants because of sneezing or the baby kicking their bladders or for whatever reason... I have NEVER EVER had this happen to me... Until tonight. I found out that I have a UTI which I am now taking antibiotics for *thank you macrobid!*, and I was in the kitchen peeling potatoes and bam I had to sneeze. Well I sneezed and I ended up completely losing it and peeing my pants! Thank goodness DH was upstairs on his computer and there is a bathroom downstairs that I can now use =) I ended up having to call him down for toilet paper and when I was done I ended up going upstairs (in the middle of making dinner) and changing my undies and my pants! I couldn't believe it. I continued to make dinner and while we were sitting eating dinner I told DH I had something to tell him but I made him promise that he would not make fun of me. He's like did you fall of your face at the base or something? I was like no it is worse than that... So I explained to him what happened... He was like you are joking, right? Nope. I laughed so hard I thought I might do it again! LOL!
So I hate to ask but have any of you ladies had this problem?

My LO likes to play on my bladder and cervix. It painful when she hits my cervix. I haven't lost my bladder yet but there have been a few times that I've come close. BF thinks it's funny when I tell him she just kicked me in the bladder and I run for the bathroom. I just tell him wiat till she makes me pee on your couch. (he bought the couch before we got together) he usually changes his tune and says it's not funny then.

I really hope that this never actually happens but I hear it's very common so I'm not gonna let it bother me to much if it does.

LOL I always wear pantyliners and it would have stopped it if I had one on... I was in such a rush to get to the pharmacy to pick up my antibiotics that I completely had a pregnant moment and forgot! Go figure! No one would have known but I figured I would tell DH so I didn't feel so stupid about it! LOL!

I've had it happen. The worst was when we were at DF's moms for a cookout and I sneezed an coughed at the same time and went all on myself. It was horrible because I had nothing I could change into. (luckly his mom had some stuff I could borrow) now to be on the safe side I carry around these poise pads. Uncomfortable, but worth it for me. :)

Yeah  I was mortified too, but what do you do? It was 6 years ago now, might as well laugh at it Hehehe!

No more embarrasing than the day DH and I were walking thru Kmart (years ago) and some dude took DH to the side to tell him my shirt had come unbuttoned and you could see my bra.  I ALWAYS wear undershirts with button up tops now LOL

I haven't ever actually "peed my pants" but I know once or twice I've sneezed, or been laughing so hard that I can feel a little dribble out but not enough to make a mess, just still kinda embarrassing but at least noone else notices lol.

OMG! That is so mortifying! I was debating on telling my husband at all but he is my best friend and I figured we could at least laugh about it together. Since this is his first baby (he went through my first pregnancy with me the whole time though <3) he isn't too sure what to expect but at least I haven't been an emotional wreck like I was with my first son. He really looked at me like I had told him the weirdest joke he had ever heard... I had to try to say that I was serious and he was just like poor thing. LOL!
I can't imagine that fiasco at your 8 month appointment! I have never had any bladder issues but this little girl is sitting so low already (well her head is anyways) that I can feel her rub her face on my pubic bone =S I guess I should be thankful that I didn't pee my pants in my car or while I was picking up dog food! You are sooooo right! That makes me feel a ton better!

I remember the first time this happened to me. It was my 2nd preg (3rd if you inc 1st m/c) and I was about 5-6 mos.  I was at work and my sinuses were really bothering me like they always do but it's worse when pregnant.  Well they started draining and it was gagging me so I ran down the hall to bathroom and ended up heaving a few times and in the process ended up peeing myself.  I was so embarrassed...I had to tell my boss I had to run home. I called DH to let him know I was leaving work for a few and running home.  I just told him I couldn't tell him why right then becuase other people were around.  Apparently he was really worried about me becuase he left his command (military at the time) and met me at the house.  I was in tears, but he was so sweet about it.

This has since happened to me on numerous occasions with my other pregnancies.  It's now so bad that I have to cross my legs when I cough or sneeze.  There was one time a few months ago when I woke up sick and went to the kitchen to get a drink, I ended up puking in the sink and at the same time peeing myself and I had to stand there in it becuase I couldnt' stop puking.  Thank God DH had taken the kids to school and I was alone.

Whenever you feel bad about this happening...think about this:

I was 8 mos preg with DS5 and I was at an appt that  I couldn't interrupt to use the bathroom (#2), I also had DD with me who was about 13 mos at the time.  AFter my appt I beelined for the bathroom.. Got in the stall and stated to pull my pants down and lost it.  Talk about a HUGE mess.  I was mortified.  I ended up having to throw my underwear away and ride home "al fresco"   I'll take peeing myself over that any day. LOL
