I'm SOOOOOO TIRED!!!!!

I have heard that women in their 3rd trimester start feeling more energetic... not me!!! I'm SO frikin tired all the time all of a sudden, even after I wake up in the morning, I'm good for about an hour and then this huge feeling of sleepiness like I just want to go back to bed comes over me, and I feel like crud. I suppose it could be because my daughter never lets me rest... she's 2 and very active!!

Anyone else feeling this way?

I guess everyone is feeling it too... it's just such a yucky feeling to actually feel "sleepy" only a couple of hours after waking up!!! I'm such an energetic person and plus I have my two year old to keep up with and some days it's so hard, especially because she doesn't nap!!! UGH!!
...I'm looking forward to nesting! Ha ha!

Lol I'm the exact same way, first trimester was obnoxious for being tired, second I didn't have to nap anymore but deff slept a solid 8 hours at night, and now I'm back to needing naps. Also can't stand on my feet for long periods of time, work is a ***** right now, I can't even do 4 hours without being in pain :(

I think it is supposed to be the 2nd trimester that is the honeymoon period where we feel less sickness and more energy and then the 3rd trimester the nausea creeps back in and we get exhausted. Unsurprising since we're lugging around so much more weight and don't get ideal sleep at night. I felt so bad because I didn't wake up until 11 this morning and Aspen (who normally gets up and destroys everything if I don't get her up) was laying in her room playing with toys on her floor. Poor thing. I have no idea how long she was awake but she didn't cry or come get me so I can only assume she was ok. I hate being tired all the time it makes me feel like a bum.

I've been having the same problem. It's so hard to want to get out of bed. I'm so sleepy at night but I can't actually fall asleep till really early (like 6am every morning) and then I'm dead all day long. But then I'll get the random day where I want to do everything under the sun and can't sit still. Pregnancy is so weird.

I have had bad fatigue this WHOLE pregnancy. I take naps regularly and in bed early. I can't even imagine where Im going to get the energy to pack and move this whole apartment over the next 2 weeks.

I have quit the bar job and just found out that a girl gave her 2 week notice at hotel so I went from working 12 hours to 32 hours a week my last 3 weeks there. I don't know how I'm going to do a 12 hour Sat shift.

I too have horrible nights sleeping. I wake up every couple of hours to pee or change positions and then it takes me almost an hour to fall back to sleep. I can't take naps rarely as I too have a 16 month old daughter and a 4 1/2 year old son. They keep me busy. Also some days I work 12-15 hours, thank God my job is pretty easy going.  My hubby let's me take naps when he can. We both have back to back schedules so it is rough. I plan on staying working until 38 weeks as I am going to be a scheduled cs. I don't know when the next time I will have a full nights rest.

It's completely normal to be exhausted again in the 3rd trimester.  Some women DO get a burst of energy for a few days in which they "nest" but with all the extra weight to lug around it's very tiring.  My problem is the quality of sleep not quanitity...I get plenty but it's sporadic becuase I have to wake up every time I change positions to rearrange my pillows and get comfortable and I can't stay in the same position long becuase something always goes numb.  Naps are out of the question for with 4 other kids to chase around and so many things left to get done with my house.

I am experiencing the exact same thing!  Glad to hear I am not alone.  I did not have any  fatigue this entire pregnancy until around 32 weeks - now I could sleep all day and night.  I slept 11 hours on Friday night and then took a 2 hour nap on Saturday!  Crazy.  Youngmum - I don't know how you do it with a 16 month to chase after.  I can barely manage to get to work and back.  I hope we all get the burst of energy that waitn838 got.

i def am this way too...i wake up in the morning and have a few hours of energy in me but then its gone...i have so much cleaning to do and nothing gets done because there is no energy to get it done...i try to do things little by little but then i need a 3-4 hour just to rejevenate....

i remember this phase with my son 6 years ago...i slept a lot of the 3rd trimester away and then all of a sudden i had bursts of energy rigth before i had him...so i would say its normal....i just sleep as i need it and hope the cleaning gets done
