Potential PGP

Hi all, I was wondering has anyone suffered from PGP? I've had pain in lower back/ bottom area, since being pregnant with my first born, the pain carried on after the babies was born, it wasn't always bad, usually if I've had an active day. Now I'm pregnant with my 3rd and the pain for the last week has been almost unbearable, driving is really bad, turning over in bed is bad, standing on one leg hurts, sitting hurts etc... I've never been diagnosed with PGP before but I've looked it up, does anyone else figure this pain is PGP?

Thanks all x

I've had the same spd since 22 weeks, though they'll never diagnos it that way. They just say it's normal pain but it's unbearable at times, especially when in bed.

Thanks Hun, I went this morning, and I was right, it is PGP. And as it turns out, I've been suffering for 7 years from it, as I get occasional pains after a long day. I'm really annoyed that this is my 3rd pregnancy and I was told to deal with it, but I'm being referred to physio. So I suppose in this case better late than never xx

Pgp or spd is exactly what you are describing. I have suffered with it since around 16 weeks. It gradually gets worse throughout pregnancy because the baby is getting bigger and putting more pressure on your pelvis. Go and see your gp to see if they can refer you to physio, physio will teach you ways of doing things like rolling in bed without hurting yourself!  Plus get a pregnancy support belt, they are a life saver when you are stood up or walking, just beware of the bones in the back, they tend to stab you when you sit down!  Good luck!
