2 questions

1) does everyone always lose their mucous plug? I am going to be 30 wks on sat and haven't lost it, I keep looking every time I go to the bathroom just in case
2) I started getting what I assume to be Braxton Hicks today. My stomach keeps tightening and I have cramp like pains very low in my stomach right above my pelvic area. They last for a few mins and happen in increments every few hrs. Then just a Lil bit ago I had some and when I looked in the mirror I noticed that it looked like I dropped, A LOT! and my stomach is extremely hard, it's very difficult for me to tell what position he is in. Should I just kept monitoring these? I have a Dr apt on mon

Yes its totally normal :) and yes that's the best thing to do. I think the tightening might be the baby heading into position because my daughter has been head down and face down since week 30 Lol so every ultrasound I get I can't see a profile picture no more >_<

Sorry to hear of the discomfort and you're correct...sounds like you've been privied to braxton hicks contractions and unfortunately they get worse/more intense/more frequent and baby drops even lower as weeks progress. Brace yourself, congrats and best wishes.

Thank you! I definitely don't feel as though the time has come at all, well from what I've been reading. Just want to make sure it's normal for the tightening and all thst for the stage I'm at. If it gets too bad before my apt on mon I will go to l&d just to be safe

33 weeks and 5 days haven't lost mine but I think I lost pieces of it . but everyone different . and for the second question , its normal to feel th around this time . if you really feel like its that time then go to the ER if you can stand the pain and its not really frequent then stay home because they will send you back home anyways trust me I am high risk and when I can't stand the false labor contractions I go to the ER they put you on an IV and monitor for about 2-3 hrs run test and send you home if there's nothing wrong with you . try staying hydrated because those can cause contractions also ( my experience) :) good luck mama

I didn't lose my mucus plug at all in my first pregnancy... .just went into labor and then the culmination followed. In my current pregnancy at 37wks I haven't lost anything and don't think I will.

I'm almost 38 weeks & have yet to see mine. However, I think I have been losing parts of it since 35 weeks.. I heard that not all women lose it before going into labor & it just happens during labor. Everyone is diff! :)
