Every pregnancy is different but some people do feel there baby less the closer they get to their due date. And yes your baby does have less room as he gets bigger. Doesn't mean he won't move but he does have less.  That's commonsense. If something is getting bigger in limited space the less you have to move around.  Even the medical sites and my doctors says it starts to get crowed for the baby in the end.

My doctor told me yesterday that the baby will move less as they get bigger and she told me not to worry. She told me once the baby moves 10 times in 12 hours it's fine. ( I was surprised cause on this ppl do say every hour or 2). She also told me that the baby sleeps for long periods of time now.. If you are worried u should contact your doctor and get checked

The bigger baby gets the less movement I will feel.. But as long as u feel him move like every 2hrs u will be fine... Try lying down in a very quiet room... You should definitely feel a lil more movement.. They may be short and quick but u will feel them often unless baby is sleep

Well the samething happened to me. About  2 weeks ago my baby patterns of his movement decreased a lil. So I called the doc and he has been sending me to do stress test at the hospital every week. They have been good. They did tell me that he is getting big and doesnt have alot of room to move but I should always stoll feel him moving. They also said as long as his heart rate rises on each movement then they know he is doing well. Maybe u should call yr doc for a stress test to make sure everything is ok. Good luck!

It's not true that babies move less the closer you get to your due date.  That's dangerous information.  Like the previous poster said, the type of movement changes, but not the amount.

Baby does not have less room to move, they just change their movement types. Instead of kicks it's more fluid movement, but the amount of movement shouldn't decrease.

It's normal to feel less movements towards the end because the baby have less room to move around. They say sometimes three weeks before your baby is coming you might not feel it move at all.

Any change in movement needs to be checked out. Your baby should keep its active schedule up to and through labour.
