5 weeks pregnant and no sac

Hi everyone,
I found out that I was pregnant on 11/29 and had to go to the ER last Friday 12/2 because I had a slight bleeding and mild back pain. They did an ultrasound and the radiologist said I might have an ectopic pregnancy. I cried of course and then the gynecologist checked me and said everything looked fine down there but they had to be cautious because the ultrasound showed some  blood clot in my left tube. I went back 2 days later for blood HCG test and they said it was rising accordingly and to come back in 2 days for another test. I went in today and they said the BHCG is still rising accordingly but I'm still spotting and still worried that I might have an ectopic pregnancy. They did do another trans-vaginal ultrasound today and still no sac but said there's no fluid there that would indicate an ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? I could really use some advise as I feel like bursting in tears all the time now.
Sorry that it's so long

Update: I went back to the hospital today for another BHCG test and it's still rising significantly. They did another ultrasound today and were able to see a yolk sac in my uterus thank God  :) so it is not ectopic. I'm still spotting though.

It could be a UTI. I spotted through my pregnancy because of this.

Have you seen an actual OBGYN doctor yet? My friend just had this same issue at the ER like a month ago and they told her she may be miscarrying. She finally seen her OBGYN and everything was perfectly fine.

I only saw the one in the ER. They called her in after the radiologist said it looked like an ectopic. She checked my stomach and said everything looked fine. I'm seeing one again next Tuesday. They told me today that they will treat it as a normal pregnancy at this time because the hcg is rising properly and I have no other symptoms except for the spotting.
