Am sick of being sick

Hello ladies, am 12 weeks and 3 days today and I have been sick with nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite for over a month now. I went to see a dr and she gave me some nausea meds but nothing is helping, I haven't been able to go to work for over a month and I have lost a total of 10kg. Am getting very frustrated and this is stopping me from enjoying my pregnancy. Any suggestions or has anyone experienced this?

Wow! 5 months out of work? That must have been so hard for you, I had to be admitted to the hospital for Iv drips 3 times too due to dehydration and excess weight loss.  I hope you feel better soon, goodness me being pregnant is not a joke! This is not what I was expecting. Seriously women deserve to be treated like queens and princesses, we go through so much in life! that's what I always tell my husband, lol. All the best with the rest of your pregnancy

I'm 28 weeks and I've been the same way! I've been in the hospital for my entire 2nd trimester and been out of work for 5 months. I can tell you if you get really bad and can't hold down food you need to go to the hospital for fluids. For me with time I got better. Find something you like No Matter what it is! But every week find a new diet, because once the baby gets use to it you will start to vomit again.

Btw I had hyperemesis gravidarum and the only thing that made me feel better was the IV from the hospital

You will get there too. Mine started at 5 weeks and last week is when I started feeling better. I 've just hit week 15 today, am not quite there yet in terms of being sick but I feel much better and am planning to go back to work next week after being at home for two months due to SEVERE morning sickness. I hope you get better soon too

It will stop soon. I experienced the same with both pregnancies. Lost weight too. It ended right after I hit the second trimester. Try lying down with a lot of pillows on your head. And try small meals. Try to avoid greasy foods or citrus drinks or fruits.

Personally it was normal for me. I was sick all of my first trimester and half of my second. And the vomiting was almost everyday.

Maybe a smoothie with protein, fruits, veggies can help. I couldn't eat much early on but an ice cold smoothie would stay down. I could only have ice water and cold foods for a bit lol.
It stopped a week after hitting the second trimester. So, just hold on, hopefully it stops soon for you.

I'm on the same boat! This is my 3rd pregnancy.  For my first 2 I lost a total of 16 pounds for the same reason.. I couldn't eat anything.. It was horrible.  But the nausea went away for the last couple months.. This time it's different.. I have to eat every 3 hours or I will get naseuas..
