Had the same thing happen to me, this is my third pregnancy. The nurse at the doctors office said I should be feeling at least 5 movements an hour BUT none of my kids this far along moved that much (I just hit 36 wks). The stabbing pain around your stomach could be round ligament pain, everything is relaxing and stretch and preparing to deliver. If the pain is more in your upper abdomen and your blood pressure is starting to rise I would have your OB check for protein in your urine, could be a sign of toxemia/pre-eclampsia. Be careful! If anything I have a small class of some juice or a light meal, lay down and poke your belly that baby will move

As you get closer to giving birth your baby will slow down in movement due to baby having less room to move around. Braxton Hix are very common that actually may be what's going on with you. If you feel too much concern or baby is going hours without you feeling movement make an appointment just to be sure.

I would ring midwife reduced movements should be checked straight away to make sure everything is okay it's not normal for baby to slow down movements the closer you get to due date ring midwife and get checked out hope everything goes okay for you xx

I would just call up your dr and ask! I'm not that far yet and I'm on my first baby so I don't really know the answer to that! I'm sorry I don't have more answers for you, but I wanted you to know that I see your post. Hope everything is okay. I know they will probably just make you wait until pains/contractions get closer together. But it doesn't hurt to call and check! Good luck ❤️
