I was 38 weeks in 3 days nd I got induce nd I got a epiderl beckz I couldnt take the pain but everybody labor is differnt so u never know how its going to fill nd till u go threw it but my back is fine nd I had a natural labor it went so well I was only nd labor for like 4 hours so try to not get it first in if your body cant take it then get it done
I'm on my 2nd baby & chose not to have one with my first. I had my mind made up not to get it, with so much pain it's tempting. But personally I enjoyed being able to naturally feel my son coming. Never felt drowsy, I felt back to 100% after labor. It hurts but I say it's worth it. If you can maintain it, do it. Just see how long you can go without it,
I had a natural birtg no meds with my first kid. Im not tryin to scare u but i would have taken the epi if i could have i had a 6 hour birth and was so unprepared for what was happening i was 9 cm when i got to the hospital i couldnt even get the shot to ease the pain. Its not fun. But well worth it. Just keep a opened mind.
I had an epidural with both my previous deliveries. I know you hear horror series about effects of it and what not but for me it helped me relax and be able to get through the 14 hour labor with my first and the 6 hours with my second. I definitely plan in having an epidural with this pregnancy
I am having my 2nd baby and planning to get the epidural. My 1st labor was 23 hrs after being awake in the hospital for 15 hrs I got it just so I could rest. Best decision I made... when it was finally time to push it only took my a few pushes to get him out. It made the entire process alot more calm for me and my hubby. I havent had any back issues from getting the epidural or any other issues from it.
I got the epidural and it was something i wasnt looking for. I had no choice but to get it because there was a problem. i suggest you try your BEST TO NOT get it. later effect my back hurts with the cold and my legs as well :/ . not a pain you wna have for the rest of your life. DONT GET IT !
Natural birth is vaginal not if you take epidural or not. When I had my son I did not have any medicine the pain cannot be explained. I thought it was humanly impossible to survive such pain. I am 11 weeks pregnant and am def getting epidural. I want a calm birth. Good luck.
With my first I wanted an all natural birth but after 13 hours I couldn't take it and got one then went another 12 hours before an emergency c section...if you are really wanting one go to classes and Def have the mind set for no drugs or epidural if you have any thought you might want one it's in your head that you can get one make it a point to be dead set on no epidural if that's what you wany
I had no choice but to have a epidural. Because I have seizures disorders and caused by stress and heat. With my 1st baby I try to waited the pain management longer but my body was getting over heated, gotten the epidural and it sure kept my body cool even when I was push my daughter out. So this pregnancy I know to ask the epidural sooner. Doesn't make you weak to ask for a epidural or meds through the iv . Good luck!
I'm in the same boat as you AneQ. I'm also 38 weeks & would prefer natural birth, but I'm not taking the epidural off the table. It just depends on how my labor goes. My husband wants me to get one because he doesn't want to see me in pain. I suggest keeping an open mind & go with the flow of your labor. I'm sure you'll make the right decisions that are best for you.
I had bed rest and was very week so I didn't think I could do it naturally. I also had not prepared for one since I had pre term labor at 32 weeks. When I did go in I had been up all night with diarrhea and contractions. I was tired dehydrated hungry so I got the epidural. Took a nap had lunch it was glorious.
