Flu Shot

Did your doctor offer it to you, or did you have to request it? I'm 35 weeks 3 days :)

I don't like getting the flu shot but my midwife kept bringing it up lol before I left from my prenatal visit, so I gave in.... Anything to keep my baby healthy.

My doctor told me to go get the flu shot at my second appointment. I went to Target Pharmacy right after that and got it done. It only took 15 mins.
Ask your doctor.

This year's flu shot is not the right strain of flu. Getting the flu shot this year won't protect you from the strain of flu going around... it's been all over the news..

I was advised to but i didn't get it because i don't take meds much when i  fall sick so i don't with pregnancy at all. I rarely get sick and didn't during my pregnancy so i didn't regret not getting it. I did get the tdap after my son was born on Tuesday at the hospital.

Maybe they forgot to bring it up.  At my office the check-in clerk brought it up--not the doc.   Another recommended vaccine is TDAP.  That protects baby from pertussis until baby is old enough to get first vaccines.

I work at a hospital so it was pretty much a requirement but your doctor should of offered it or as least mention it

My midwife has suggested it since the very first visit I had back in November. It's the tail end of January, we've been deep into flu season for over a month. If your doctor hasn't mentioned it yet then it's time for you to bring it up.
