Forcing support?!

So Ive been thinking very hard about a decision I have to make soon.... Child Support! Well a little history about me and him... we're "best-friends" having a child. I say that bc we never made it official mutually and we have such a great bond... we really look out for each other. But again we're not together which makesss me think about our future responsibility. I have faith just knowing who he is that he will uphold his relationship and responsibilty to her. We are young though and I understand life brings up and downs that I think may prevent him from doing what he needs to do but I don't agree with having the law forcing him to do so you know... I read up on it but I also know it can be a positive re-enforcement. I sure he does'nt understand that he only looks at it negatively... What do you guys think???

Don't present it as child support what you is both do go to a mediator and agree on support and custody. Than have it in writing like a contract. I have that with my oldest son's father, we don't have a court ordered support or custody agreement but we have one we agreed upon.

I don't see it as negative! Your right though life brings you your ups and downs and you never know what's gonna happen especially when your baby arrives. I am sure it's hard to hear on his part but you need constant support for your baby and just remind him of that. if you aren't officially together I see nothing wrong with the child support just remember you're the mom and if this makes you feel better then go ahead and do i
