Help!

I'm a ftm and due in 6 weeks. My husband really wants me to breastfeed, I really want to be able to except I'm very self conscious. I know it sounds silly I also understand I might feel totally different when she is here but right now I can't imagine it. I really want her to have the best supply of milk but I don't feel that I can give her that unless I pump it out. Is it just me?

If you're self conscious there are covers you can use for bf. If you want to formula feed that's fine too. Pumping is time consuming but it's definitely an option. Do what works best for you. A fed baby is what's best regardless of how they get fed.

I have never breastfeed which I wanted to but wasn't able for different reasons. I spoke with a neonatal specialists and asked about it if I can't long term then I should for the first 3 days, it is very important sets up the babies immune system and helps to keep baby healthy in future. So I am going to try and at least do it for 3 days. I havw a medical condition whee I take meds that I can't breast feed this time if I am on them. So I will try and then if I have to will goto formula.
Your husband should respect u that it makes u uncomfortable and that if your uncomfortable with it then your baby will be uncomfortable as well.
If u can try it and do for the first 3 days then if u really can't do it after that pump or do formula is okay. I used it with my other 2 and they r just fine

Do you mean you feel self-conscious even if it's you and your baby in the room?

Also if you're self conscious, you can try formula, it's safe and fills your baby up. Just my opinion.

You'll feel different once she comes I used to feel the exact way you do now but it is the best and safest way
