He's here :-D

As you ladies know I believed I mat have gone into labour Wednesday, turns out I had :-D Wednesday and Thursday things didn't really progress, my contractions got closer but weren't very strong, I went into hospital Thursday afternoon and they said I was in very early labour but my waters hadn't gone and although I was fully effaced and engaged my cervix was only 2cm still. I had a trace run and babies heartbeat wasn't accelerating enough so they decided to break my waters and speed up the process. Within half an hour of my waters being broke my contractions were full on but I was still only 2cm dilated, I only had co-codamol as the gas and air made me feel panicky. Half an hour later I was in so much pain and needed to push so my husband got the Midwife back in, she checked and I'd dilated to 8cm and babies head was only an inch from being born, 40 mins of pushing later and he was here :-D We have a healthy baby boy  (Neil) weighing in at 6lbs 7oz, born at 05:13 on Friday 24th April at 37 + 1 weeks. That is my labour story ladies, good luck with your own and thank you for all the help and advice :-D xx
