High Blood Pressure?

So today I had an appointment at the clinic and my blood pressure was a little high, they're making me do a 24hr urine collection & I'm getting another test to see if I have diabetes in 4 weeks. Has this happened to any of you mom's?

I am 37 weeks +5 days and I had to go to the ER Friday due to a severe headache & vomiting. Was told I had high blood pressure. Luckily meds got it back to normal so I didn't have to get induced. I also have to collect my urine and give it to the hospital tomorrow to double check I don't have preeclampsia. Good luck to you and make sure to keep an eye on your blood pressure to be on the safe side!

It's a precaution for preeclampsia. I had eclampsia with my first and preeclampsia with my second. I use a low sodium diet of less than 1,000 mg to help prevent high bp during pregnancy.
Preeclampsia occurs in the third trimester though.
Other symptoms of preeclampsia are swelling of the hands, face, and ankles, blurred vision, confusion, headaches, extreme fatigue, upper abdominal pain

I went in at 35 weeks and 4 days and my blood pressure was high and they gave me meds and did a 24 hour urine test but during the night, even on the meds my blood pressure got to 180/110 and they c sectioned my baby that day. If its high you need to slow down and watch it, but if its just a little high once and you relax and it goes down you're fine

My blood pressure was a bit high with my first, and again with my second, but I just ask them to take it after I've sat for a few minutes instead of right after I get into the office, and it usually goes down. As long as there's not a high amount of protein in your urine, you should be fine. High BP plus protein in your urine can be a sign of preeclampsia, but try not to stress about it. You'll know in a few days.
