How can I induce next week?

I'm 36 weeks and want to wait until 37, but Max is already over 6lbs and I'm done being pregnant. It's next to impossible to chase after my 2 year old. How can I naturally induce labor??!

Your baby (well the average 36 week old anyway) still has a lot of brain growth, lung development, liver development and a whole bunch of other developments that are safer done inside the womb than outside. They are at their optimum at 40 weeks (and a baby born at 42 weeks has better outcomes than the average 38 week old - so even though 37 weeks is technically full term, for most babies, the longer they stay in the better).

On the other hand, I've got an almost 2 year old and a 3 year old, and at 32 weeks I really wouldn't be too upset if baby came at 36 weeks because it is getting SO hard!! My darling little 2 yr old smashed a glass on purpose this morning, then when I finished cleaning up (while she cried the whole time) she threw her cup of milk on the table and started flicking it onto the floor. The house is disgusting because I get too many Braxton hicks when I bend over to pick things up off the floor, my 3 year old son has tackled me without warning about 20 times while I watched TV and I was so exhausted I opened a packet of crackers for their lunch and let them fight over it and fed myself a chocolate bar.

So you know, if you wanna ignore the first paragraph about the benefits of in-utero development, I totally understand :/

Castor oil is very dangerous and can do serious harm to your baby. Walk a lot and have sex. I understand its hard taking care of a two year old and being pregnant. All my son wants is for me to pick him up and chase him around. Just wait two more weeks it will go by so fast and before you know it you will have your baby:)

Baby nerds to cook inside, we're all tired and in pain, you need to have babies best interests in mind. Castor oil can cause some very serious side effects, and is not worth the risk just so you don't have to be uncomfortable.

Agreed pregnancy isn't supposed to be fun!! Selflessness is what motherhood is about giving apart of ur life and body to secure a healthy life for your child... Not getting really close to ur due date and throwing n the flag.

How many weeks are you?  Some women call 32 weeks "8 months" but they still have 8 more full weeks to go before the baby is due.

As uncomfortable as you are,  if the baby is still doing well in utero leave him/her there.

How did castor oil work out? What if it happens before? I'm a little scared because I'm supposed to have antibiotics put in through my Iv during labor but if I try the oil I'm scared It can be to late

I took castor oil with my first and she was born 24 hours later. I plan on doing the same with this one. As long as your 37 weeks you should be safe.
