Insurance

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 years. We finally got pregnant (our miracle baby) I'm about 6 weeks and NO insurance. Deadline for coverage was Feb 15th. Any recommendations for insurance or ideas Thank you.

Nope. Giving birth is a qualifying event - getting pregnant is not. This is why it's important to get insurance before you need it instead of waiting until it's too late... short of one of you getting a new job that offers coverage (because a change in employment is also a qualifying event), I honestly don't know what to suggest.

If you get denied for medicaid that is considered a qualifying life event to go through the health insurance market place after Feb 15

If you cannot afford private insurance apply for medicaid.
