Ugh yeah it really bad! Your baby can be born with so much that can go wrong! Honey you must stop! Do you wanna see your child born with cancer for something u did.  Give him a chance.  Think about your baby well being. Or he can a cliff lip.  Like why put your child through that when you can simply stop. I'm not judging you I just want you make the right choice for ur unborn.  Its not fair for your baby to be born with things that u could prevent.  Think about it.  How would u feel if had cancer or a cliff lip and u new that ur parents can prevent it from happening just by not smoking.  Think about it mommy. Hope this helps you quit
Good luck

Yes it's bad however some people smoke all throughout their pregnancy without any problems with their little 1. I personally wouldn't, as I wouldn't want to risk the fact of anything happening to my unborn daughter however everybody is different and have different views and opinions.

Chloe I am of the firm opinion that God judges souls and man judges actions, that is why we have prisons and a Justice system.

Sharky I would encourage you to quit immediately. I grew up with a mother who smoked. I had breathing problems all throughout my childhood and missed many days of school.

Do not judge so that you are not judged. Only God can judge us for the choices we make.

sharky,  the truth is,  if you only began smoking 2 weeks ago and truly only smoked 2 cigarettes a day,  it's unlikely to have any affect whatsoever on your baby,  if you stop now.  The problem with cigarettes is they reduce the size of your blood vessels,  including umbilical cord vessels,  and so the baby gets less oxygen and nutrients than other babies who have mothers with normal blood vessels.

Women who smoke heavily and then decide to quit when they find out they're pregnant are doing the right thing,  but the blood vessels in those women are still shrunk for a long time and the baby doesn't benefit from the mom quitting for quite some time.

The biggest thing here,  is for you to quit before the baby is born so the baby doesn't grow up in a cigarette house.  That's dangerous.

Didn't mean to upset you just trying to help u make the right choice.  U ask for ppl opinions and advice so expect to hear the worse.  Just saying!

If you feel the need to ask on here if it's bad, you obviously know it is. Try quitting asap. It's not good for the baby.

I smoked a pack a day before I came pregnant. When I found out at 6 weeks, I immediately stopped. I haven't craved a cigarette at all. I'm now 39 weeks. I understand that everyone is different. But I also think that it's a mental thing when people say they CAN'T stop. (My opinion). But what's done is done and I don't think you should even care what people think. It's your baby, your child, your consequences. Do what you feel.

Its easier said than done. Do what you can and try the best u can to stop. It won't be a overnight thing but u can do it. Good luck to you and also ask your doctor and be honest with them they can help and monitor to more than we can.

I smoked 2 cigs a day and weed like once a month and my baby iabjust fine (thank God) the only thing I hated was when my bf (nonsmoker) kept bashing me for it and saying how I didn't care about my baby or his health, but I knew he'd be fine! Nobody is going to understand unless they're a smoker too. Its so hard to quit cold turkey! But I think of it as once a day isn't gonna do much damage. Now I'm on my 2nd child (9 weeks) and my bf hasn't bashed me for it, he actually bought me a pack the other week b.c I was going through some family drama and he knew I was out :) but I do plan on stopping in the near future I only smoke half a cig in the daytime then smoke the other half at night.

It's proven to not be good for baby. No need to dwell on it. Just try and stop.
